one more day

Then Devon arrives for a short (WAY too short!) visit.  This weekend:  Moon Lake with Devs and hopefully McKnight Ryder.  I'm so excited I'm already packed and drunk.  JK. 

Does anybody know what happened to the Twitter app for iPhones??  Mine has been jacked for over a week and the other app I have is terrible and doesn't let me see Twitter updates as well.  Sigh. 

I'm really craving fried foods that are salty and dipped in ranch for some reason right now.  Last night I could have slapped an old lady for a mozzarella cheese stick.  Dave brought me a brownie to bed instead.  It was good but he drank the rest of the milk.  Eating a brownie and then having no milk to chase it with is just no good.  I mean, the brownie was good--duh, I made it--but my mouth was sad without the milk finale.  Sigh.

Sigh.  Sigh.  Sigh.

I'm losing my summer tan.  It's been way too hot and nasty humid to do anything outside and my poor bike wants to be ridden so bad!  I can't stand the cold weather but the humidity these days is unbearable.  Yesterday on my way home from work I saw a tree get struck by lightning really close to my car.  Yikes!

Does anybody have a yummy recipe for fish tacos?  I think I might make some tonight after work...last night I read a Rachel Ray magazine in bed.  AND I LIKED IT.  Except for the article about How to Put Load Your Groceries.  Dumb.

kittens and birthdays!

Dinky update:  we still have no clue if Dinks is a boy or a baby girl--the parts are still developing and deciding but in the meantime, Baby Dinks is too cute for words!  I need to get on the ball and upload some recent photos.  Dinks sprouted overnight and has pretty much tripled in body size.  He went from being a newborn kitteh, sleeping and eating and pottying and sleeping some more to walking, then running, now hopping and exploring and biting with his baby vampire kitteh teeth that are like little needles.  He loves to roll on his back while you scratch his tummy.  I know he loves this because he purrs really loudly and gently licks my finger or tries to playfully bite it.  It's really cute to see him learn how to be a kitty and play now.  I squeeze him constantly, place his baby kitteh nose inside of mine while I inhale his face, smother him in kisses, and squeeze him some more while squealing.  It's a ridiculous sight to see.

Also, my birthday was a WIN!!  I need to upload a photo of my fabulous present from my sweetness!  I had the day off from work and I did everything I wanted to do!  More on that later.  I'm exhausted this Monday.  My long birthday weekend just wasn't enough time.  I've decided I just want to stay home and take care of the baby pets all the time.  Sounds good, yeah??

I'm drinking a cream soda right now and listening to the summer sounds.  Gizzie just sighed heavily while sleeping and in this moment, I am so happy.
